Jewish ballplayer,” he said. “I wanted to be known as a great
ballplayer, period....Lately, though, I find myself wanting to be
remembered not only as a great ballplayer, but even more as a great
Jewish ballplayer. I realize now, more than I used to, how important a
part I played in the lives of a generation of Jewish kids who grew up
in the 30̓s.

Tips: The New Jewish Jordan | Posted on Friday, March 18 @ 08:32:31 UTC
Jordan Farmar, aka the Jewish Jordan, just completed his freshman year at UCLA(11) with a 78-66 loss to Texas Tech(6) in the NCAA tournament.
Although he didn't perform well in the NCAA tournament going 1-for-9 from the field, 1-for-5 from 3-point range and 0-for-2 at the foul line, he completed an excellent season in which he averaged 13.2 pts and 5.3 assists.
Meanwhile, the previous "Jewish Jordan" Tamir Goodman is headed to Israel's top team, Maccabi Tel Aviv. |
