With 2 games left to the season 4 spots are locked. The final 2 spots are open and this race will probably come down to the final week. 4 teams seprated by 2 games. Here are my predictions. By the way, todays monday and i have a bad cold. I didnt go to school, so what better way to make my day useful by posting CBL predictions. haha Very Happy

TVI V.S. JOEY
Seeing that Joey is a game up on Tvi, Joey needs this win to have a better shot then Tvi does at the 6th or even 5th spot. Joey played well against Elan last week despite Elans 34 point effort. This week he Versus a week rounded team in Tvi whos had problems in the beginning of the season with Ari Senderowitz. What a good time for payback Tvi. But i dont think there will be any. Joey is going to have a good game even with his injured finger. Ari has to wake up a little and he will be ok. Tvi made some trades this season but came up at the bitter end of his deals. Sorry Tvi. Tvi's team couldn't beat shapsie's team last week who had 4 guys. I dont mean to bash your team like that but it bottles my mind. Well i think because of the teamwork Joey's team had last week against ELan, there shouldn't be any problem against Tvi right? i guess so.
JOEY-50 TVI-34

IGOR V.S. ELAN
We beat a shorthanded Aaron's team (Arthur) by 12 i presume. Lets just hope that Elan is shorthanded this week as well as he was last week (Hindy). Elan played outstanding last week. His layups were unbelievable and he was knocking down jumpers left to right. My team on the otherhand have been playing on a teamwork role every week. Lets just say there is no real leader on our team. I guess teamwork is the logical reason to our team's success this season. With Amir and Pine playing great every week. Eli Playing consistently. Igor Grabbing Boards and all the other little things are very valuable to our team. Elan's team on the other hand is for him, Hindy, and Rick to try and get the other Guy's involved. Elan leads his team to victory when they play well. This game could go either Way.
IGOR-54 ELAN-50

AARON V.S. MARK
Mark's team lost by 18 last week. Probably because of the absence of Simchi who went to the Ranger game instead. What a bummer, both of his teams lost that night. Zeev had his season high last week (1Cool more then half of their teams points (34). Steven Israel couldn't take the leadership role for 1 week. When Simcha is there Steven does acceptionally well. Golumb has to start playing better, especially in the playoffs. I want to see how well this team plays in the playoffs. If you look at all sides on this team their not as strong as you think, but they are good. Aaron is frustrated. Last week he lost to my team. When we both sat down at the same time during the game i asked him "Why are you so upset?" he replied saying "Shmeel i love you man, but when you loose, it just a pissoff to loose." The ref in the 3 PT gym was calling stupid calls so maybe he had a reason to be angry. I think Aarons team is very good. Especially after the trade with Tvi. If everyone plays up to their ability they can be tough to compete with. But i think Marks team with Simchi is too much.
SIMCHI-64 AARON-58

SHAPSIE V.S. NORM Upset of the Week!!
Norm is fighting for a playoff Spot. Since they got Menachem Tusk i think they have won 2 games out of 3 if im correct. Jeff Stern has been lights out all season carrying them every week. But with there 4-8 record it wasn't enough. If Jeff, Goalshein and Tusk play well there not as bad as you think despite that record. Shapsie beat Tvi last week with 3 OF HIS GUYS! plus Aaron. Shapsie, Leib, Bo Cohen, and Aaron played Tvis full team and beat them by 10 points scoring 64. If you add Illish, Moishe, and Benji they should be soring like 80 points every night if they play hard. Seeing that this week Norm needs a win to get into the playoffs i think this should be a bit of an Upset. Sorry shapsie your in the playoffs anyway. =)
NORM-60 SHAPSIE-55

Good luck this week. Feel free to comment on my predictions.

How could you run through all 4 games without making one "Igor is gay", "Leib is scared of Tusk" and/or "Vegh is a pain in Igor's ass" comments? You didn't even mention Oded once! Unacceptable.

This is where I come in with my two cents...

Vegh will beat Aaron because: 1) Simchi will never lose another game to Abe. NEVER!! 2) Itzkowitz will be missing and 3) The time off will be a greater issue of Arty's brittle 30+ year old bones than Simchi's fragile, KG-like bones. Is everyone as excited as I am about the inevitable Oded-Abe collision? How about Aaron holding Simchi at every opportunity? Howie pulling out a wrench and whacking Golumb over the head? The subplots are very intriguing!

Tzvi will beat Joey because....I want him to. It would definitely make for a more interesting week 14, not to mention that Joey has played consecutive cerebral games for the first time ever. Would you be willing to bet on him playing a third such game? I thought not.

The Shaps Man and his clowns will not lose to a Norman squad. It's that simple! I'll cheat and pay off the refs if I have to. Anyone who loses to Norm should be embarassed. As a matter of fact, the CBL rules committee is considering implementing an EPL type rule where your team "earns" an immediate demotion to the MNBL if you lose to Norm. More on this later...

Elan and Igor may be the game of the week but does anyone really care about this game? The way I see it, these teams are just playing for the privilege to get bounced out of the playoffs by my team.

If Elan has his entire team, I have his speed and athleticism being too much of a problem for the Igors. Also, without the 3 point line, Pine isn't as explosive. Finally, without any Mikhlys involved in this game, how can you bet against 2 Strobels?
